– US oil production fell 3.6% in August to 10.6 million barrels per day, Reuters reports. That’s down 14.9% from an average of 12.4 million bpd in the first eight months of the year. Offshore Gulf of Mexico production, meanwhile, fell 27.5% to 1.2 million bpd, its lowest level in a month since October 2013.
