⁍ The White House is open to standalone legislation to help U.S. airlines weather their financial crisis triggered by the coronavirus pandemic, she said.


– Delta Air Lines and American Airlines announced Thursday that they will be laying off thousands of workers as a result of the H1N1 virus, Reuters reports. According to the Wall Street Journal, Delta announced that it would be laying off up to 3,400 workers, while American said it would be laying off up to 3,600. The news comes on the heels of similar news from US Airways and American Airlines. The H1N1 virus is believed to have originated in Mexico.
