⁍ White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said on Thursday that President Donald Trump’s administration is still open to standalone legislation to help U.S. airlines weather their financial crisis triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.


⁍ ‘We are willing to look at a plan – legislation – that is just clean legislation to protect those airline workers,’ McEnany said at a White House briefing.


– Delta Air Lines and American Airlines announced Thursday that they would be laying off thousands of workers in the wake of the H1N1 virus, Reuters reports. According to the Wall Street Journal, Delta alone will be laying off 3,400 workers, while American Airlines will be laying off 3,600. The news comes as the CDC announced Thursday that the first case of H1N1 in the US has been confirmed.
